News from the Frontline of a Poet

I realized the other day, while I was reading an old to-do-list, that I have neglected the blogging side of my “job.” Life has been busy, and I learned long ago that if I am feeling overwhelmed, something needs to give, and I do not want that to be my sanity.

The easiest thing for me to “drop” by the wayside for a bit is blogging. I do enjoy blogging, as it is one of the easier challenges I have set for myself. However, it is such an effective way to connect with people and keep everyone updated on what is happening with my professional writing career.

1.       Effective August 1st, there will be a price decrease for both the physical copies and eBooks versions of These Words. Printed copies will be $7.99 and eBooks $2.99.

2.       My second book of poetry, A Thousand Melodies, is currently being edited and mockups for the cover design have been made. This book will be available to preorder September 1st. The official day for Book Launch is October 1st.

3.       I will be doing an interview for the podcast, “Poets Have Something to Say,” which is hosted by Fond du Lac Poet Laurette, Jeffrey C. McAndrew, who is a fantastic poet and writer. You can easily find this podcast through most podcast platforms. Some of my favorite interviews he has done have been with Bruce Fernandez, Frank Watkinson, Nick Gulig, Lisa Vihos, and Freesia McKee. You can also find Jeffrey’s books on Amazon.

4.       My friend Kelli, from The Awakening Collective, and I have been hosting beginner friendly meditation classes in Wisconsin Rapids. If you would like more information on where these are taking place, please send me a message. These classes are free!

5. I am also working on my third book, which will not be released until March/April 2025. This book will be slightly different from the first two books, so stay tuned for updates.

Now that things have slowed down a bit, fingers crossed that I did not jinx myself, hopefully we can visit more.
