Oh look, an update!

I had previously set myself a deadline to finish my third book by the first of July, with ample time to have it ready for it to be published this month. I like deadlines, they are good motivators for me. However, being my own boss, I’ve allowed myself to get sloppy with not only deadlines, but my ever-increasing to-do lists.

I have also come to the realization that I’m anxious to publish my next book, Everything but a Novel. This book is different from my first two books. I feel a little out of my comfort zone showing another side of my creative writing endeavors. With the ridiculous pressure I put on myself trying to make this book perfect, which it could never really be, and along with me being sick for over a month, I self-induced writer’s block when it came to this book.

However, I also thought it would be a great idea to write not just one book, but three simultaneously. Has that helped my writer’s block to complete the book I need to finish? NOPE! Do you know what helped my writer’s block though? Listening to music and taking art classes. In conclusion, I’m nearing the finish line. Book cover is ready to go, most of the manuscript has been edited, and I have a few things to write for it. I should be able to rubberstamp “the end” on it by the end of September, and it should be published in October, fingers crossed.
