Opportunity

As I place the finishing touches on my second book, I am so incredibly grateful that I have had this opportunity. Life contains so many opportunities and chances, and if you do not grab hold of them, what might we miss out on?

I know that as long as I remain on this earth, I am going to try to take advantage of the beautiful things that present themselves to me. I have been submitting entries to writing contests, something I have not done since middle school. I have taken a volunteer position within the Wisconsin Writers Association as a Book Promotion Researcher. I proposed a lesson plan on poetry to middle and high school teachers in Wausau. In addition, I applied to be an Author at McMillian Memorial Library.

Each of these opportunities are a blessing and offer motivation to keep trying. Opportunity breeds opportunities, and I do not want to miss anything.
